"Hot Dog" is from the Step Into Reading Series, with only three or four words on a page but wonderful illustrations of a hot dachshund who tries to find ways to cool off. This copy is in okay condition with no missing pages, but signs of wear, and the previous owner's name (Ethan H.) neatly written on the inside front cover. "Barkley" by Syd Hoff is An Early I Can Read Book published by Weekly Reader in 1975. Barkley is a great circus dog. But one day, Barkley's owner says, "I think you are getting old.
